es Consulting were contracted to develop a postal barcode and track and trace system for an International Post Office in the UK. This system was designed to read UPU barcodes on mailbags and the data controlled movements and significantly improved productivity in the UK hub. The data was also transferred to a website to allow customers globally to track the status of their mail. The application was designed to run the entire management of the business including invoicing and has now been used to develop franchise operations in other parts of the world.

Fire Safety Equipment Web Retailer

Safelincs Ltd is a leading supplier of fire safety products.  The company only sells via the web and fulfills all orders from a distribution center in Alford Liinconshire.

es Consulting has delivered an integrated warehouse management system which receives orders from a number of web shops and manages the fulfilment of these orders by the warehouse.

The interface to the companies web sites means that there is no manual intervention required to enter orders into their accounts package Sage 50 Accounts or SageBarcoder. Orders appear for dispatch in SageBarcoder as they are created by customers.

The warehouse system delivers control and visibility to the dispatch of all orders and has reduced dispatch errors from 1% to 0.03%. The financial savings made in this area alone mean that the system was paid for in less then 10 months.

Safelincs Ltd have also purchased the SageBarcoder mobile module.  This module is primarly used to facilitate easy and accurate stock taking using the minimum resources. This in itself as further reduced costs very significently. The modlule also delivers many other functions, however stock identification is particularly useful.
